TVS Racing announces 16-driver squad for TVS Asia One Make Championship

The TVS Asia One Make Championship is set to take place in Malaysia this year alongside the FIM Asia Road Racing (ARRC) Championship.
TVS Racing, the factory racing team of TVS Motor Company, recently announced its 16-driver squad for the TVS Asia One Make Championship. This is the first-ever world-level road racing championship by an Indian manufacturer.
The TVS Asia OMC is set to take place in Malaysia this year alongside the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC).
The company announced that the selection round was based on the drivers’ skills, their latest best achievements and their lap times ensured that only the best talents were selected for the inaugural championship. Furthermore, the company further announced that the consistency and adaptability of the runners were also the other key parameters taken into consideration.

From India, three riders were selected – Jagan Kumar, KY Ahmed and Deepak. These riders will participate in 4 rounds of TVS Asia OMC from May 27th at the iconic Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia until November 20th at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand. Meanwhile, the championship will also go to Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia (TBC) and Sugo International Circuit in Japan.

According to the company, the TVS Asia One Make Championship is a platform to discover new talent while showcasing the qualities and capabilities of the company’s best racing bike – Apache RR 310. This bike was also launched in the Philippines last year. It comes with a 312cc SI, four-stroke, four-valve, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine has been tasked with developing 34 hp of maximum power and 27 Nm of maximum torque and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
