The dedication of a food delivery boy who was seen doing his job on a motorbike with his baby strapped to his chest touched the hearts of Malaysians.
A video of the anonymous man was posted on June 16 on Instagram and Facebook by famed preacher Ebit Lew.
The man can be seen carrying his baby as he collected the order and walked up a flight of stairs to make the delivery.
He borrowed a motorbike from his in-laws and became a food delivery boy to cope with financial difficulties at home.
He has to bring his baby as there is no one else to take care of the child as his wife works in a clothing store.
“They don’t have enough money,” he cried when we met earlier today; I’m happy to be able to meet him,” Lew said.
Facebook user Muhamad Khairi Kassim said the man had proven that a loving father would do anything for his family.
“It’s a father’s love…he’s willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to bring some happiness to his family,” he said.
Lew took the man out to buy a motorbike and offered to pay monthly nanny fees so he didn’t have to take his baby with him while he made deliveries.
“At the time when we think we’re struggling, others might have it worse,” he said.
“When we gave him a motorcycle, we can see his tears and that makes us more grateful.”
