Operation Wounded Warrior was enacted by The American Legion Riders of Arizona in response to a PSA on the NALRIC site ("FOR THE WOUNDED"). They collected items locally via collection cans and posters; newspaper articles, display booths at local events and stores; and direct solicitations. They then escorted their shipment of goods from Kingman AZ to their destination at Camp Pendleton, CA where they distributed the collected goods and commemorative patches to those soldiers - welcoming each one home.
